ESPN’den Jacob Wolf’un yaptığı habere göre yeni sezonda franchisea geçiş yapacak EU LCS’de hali hazırda ligde bulunan SPY ve H2K takımlarının başvurusu reddedildi. Bilindiği üzere H2K başvuru yapmadan önce başarılı futbol kulübü PSG ile ortak başvuru yapacağını açıklamıştı.
EU LCS’e 2014’te giren SPY ile 2015’te giren H2K kuruluşlarından bu yana ilk kez lig dışında kalacaklar. EU LCS’e yeni başvuru yapan organizasyonlar lige katılım için 2,5 Milyon Euro’luk bir ücret ödemek durumunda kalacaklar. Ligin dışında kalan SPY ve H2K gibi takımlar ise lige katılacak yeni takım sayısına oranla Riot üzerinden çıkış tazminatı kazanacaklar. Barcelona ve Real Madrid’in sahneye giriş yapacağı dedikodularını düşündüğümüzde red kararlarının ardında büyük kulüplerin yer aldığını düşünebiliriz.
